Well as mentioned in our previous post we had our PCI appointment on the 8th January.
Overall we are happy with the build, and the house did not look like it had chicken pox. Mainly just a few painting issues and marks left behind by 'cowboy' tradies not taking too much care with their tools etc.
One thing that has got us concerned is the gap between the garage door and brick work - this is caused by 'something' not been completely square and apparently can not be fixed - wrong answer - everything can be fixed!!! Our SS recommended that we monitor the gap and if we find it 'too' much, and it lets water etc into the garage to make note of it in our 90 day maintenance report (I am pretty sure he knows it will on that report).
At the end he informed us that our Handover date will be Tuesday 22nd January.
Very excited to have a date.

Happy New Year
We have not dropped off the face of the earth, just nothing has really happened at the house since early December - until we finally received our PCI date 8th January 2013.
Visiting the house regularly over the Christmas/New Years period we were able to compile a list of things we wanted to 'discuss' with our SS and thanks to the cleaners who left the door unlocked for us we were able to have a thorough look through the house. All items on our list are minor and hopefully easily fixed. I will comment on this in another post.
On another note we have completed one part of our side fence.

Hiring a '2 man' post hole digger made it slightly easier but when that fails the good old shovel and crowbar came in handy. |
After a few bruises and little bit of sunburn the poles where in place.
Returning the next day we continued with the rails. This required a lot of patience as Daniel is very particular about things being straight.
Nice and straight. |
115 palings later and we have a new fence.
