Almost there...

Yes we are almost there.  The Painter finished in the house (for the moment), as the Plumbers and Electricians arrive onsite for their fitout.  Spoke to our SS last week and asked for an approx. handover date, which he has not yet given.  He did say he will get back to us by the end of the week - still waiting.

We now have a bath.

And showers - they have started putting in the Semi-frameless shower screens as well

And of course toilets.

Sink in Butlers pantry,
As I had mentioned in my last post, the Electricians were more than happy to put in 'our' downlights and fans for a small fee.  All up they put in 24 down lights, 6 fans, 2 fluro lights in garage and a feature light out the front - they were also happy to adjust our lighting plan slightly allowing us to put in an exra fan and 2 extra down lights - all for $800.  We were happy with this price - who knows how long it would take us to get an Electrician in after handover!!!

Interceptor fan.

Feature lights above island bench in kitchen - notice the Mia Cucina rangehood has also been put in.

Mia Cucina...

Close up of the down light - no it is not  LED.
Our SS has advised us that the cleaners will be in early next week, with the carpet and floors to be laid on Wednesday.  So far everything has been going as planned so fingers crossed.

Painting...

The painter has been very busy this week.  He did apologise as it may take him longer to paint the house as he had to let some workers go due to losing work through a large housing company going broke (BBC Homes).

Set up in the living area.

Undercoat in main bedroom.  It is still slightly wet.

The doors have also been painted thankfully not monument as they had originally thought.
The two doors in the middle are bedroom doors, while the door on the left is the butlers pantry slider and the one on the right is the linen cupboard door.

Our bench top has also been installed but has been covered by all of the painters material.
We promise we only had a quick look took a couple of photos and returned everything to the way it was :) It is a bit dusty but you can get an idea of the colours.

The gas connection.

Daniel spoke to our SS last week and asked about getting our own down lights and fans put in during the electrical fitout.  He was unsure but said he would look into it....true to his word we recieved a phonecall from the electrical company assuring us that 'yes' they are able to do that for us - for a small fee.  HOORAY, one less thing to worry about after handover.

More photos....

The tiler has finished all of the tiling etc.  Really happy with the overall look.

Close up of the feature tile in the bathrooms.

The Painter also arrived at the house earlier this week. Lucky for us, Daniel was onsite as the painter wanted to confirm if we still wanted all internal doors painted 'Monument' (black).  Thankfully the painter was happy to change this 'selection' to the same colour as our achitraves.  Having a  look through all of our Studio M selections, we have no idea where that came from.

The first layers of paint around the windows

Base coat in the bedroom and also down the hallway.
The painter said he will be busy at the house until next week.
Will go for a drive-by over the weekend and check on the progress.
